The FAA requires that we fly with approved charts. But they are the only ones who prepare approved charts both digital and printed. Now the FAA's AeroNav charting division wants to kite the user fees for the charts to the point where it will double the price of some commercial digital products and force some companies relying on the digital charts out of business. Jim Sweeney talks with Hilton Goldstein about a meeting he and others had with the FAA. A report on the meeting between industry and the FAA's AeroNav division can be found here. Hilton Software LLC (12/20/11)
